Geraldine Robinson Evans departed this life on April 15, 2023 at Autumn Care in Nashville, North Carolina. She was born on November 1, 1950 to the late James and Lois Robinson in Port Norris, New Jersey.

At an early age, Geraldine relocated to North Carolina with her family. She received her early education in the Moore County School System, graduating from Union Pines High School.

Geraldine confessed hope in Christ at a young age. She joined Mount Olive Church in Carthage, North Carolina.

Geraldine went on to meet Henry Nick Evans, Jr., with whom she was united in marriage on July 24, 1970.

Geraldine had a passion for helping others and worked many years as a Health Care Aide in Nashville and Rocky Mount, North Carolina. If you knew Geraldine, you knew she had a very sweet and humble spirit, making her perfect for that job. Geraldine will be greatly missed by family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by one stepson, Ricky Shambley, and three brothers, Harold Robinson, Elmer Robinson, and Grant Robinson.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted husband of fifty-two years, Henry Nick Evans, Jr.; one stepdaughter, Belinda Shambley of Bronx, NY; one granddaughter, Cheyenne Shambley of Nashville, NC; two grandsons, Daequan Shambley of Helena, MT and Davon Shambley of Utica, NY; three sisters, Gloria Gordon of Wilson, NC, Margaret Smith (Ronald) of Clayton, NC, and Marva Robinson of Raleigh, NC; three sisters-in-law, Barbara Richardson and Linda Evans both of Nashville, NC and Alene Cooper (Donald) of San Antonio, TX; four brothers-in-law, Elijah Evans, Charles Evans, Jessie Evans, and Richard Evans, all of Nashville, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
